In a move to honour tradition and heritage, the reigning Ugep Mr Leboku 2025, Ewii-Ephraim Okoi Arikpo, has paid a courtesy visit to the pioneer Mr Leboku, Obol Magistrate Edmond Ujong.

The maiden edition of the Mr Leboku contest was held in 1996, where Obol Magistrate Edmond Ujong emerged as the first-ever winner of the prestigious cultural title.

Speaking on the visit, Ugep Mr Leboku 2025 said the trip was to honour Obol Ujong as the pioneer Mr Leboku and to receive his royal blessings.

In his response, Obol Magistrate Edmond Ujong warmly received one of his successors, offering him blessings, words of wisdom, inspiration, and gifts. He also shared valuable advice on upholding the values and legacy of the Leboku crown.

The visit symbolises continuity and respect for the cultural heritage of the Leboku festival, bridging the gap between the first and current title holders nearly three decades apart.
