YALA (CONVERSEER) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) Wanikade Ward in Yala North, Ukelle, Cross River State, has restated its commitment to strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

Led by Ward Chairman, Egede Monday Okoko, the reaffirmation was made during a ward meeting held on Sunday, 21st September 2025, at his residence. The gathering brought together party loyalists and stakeholders to discuss the future of the APC in the community.

The councillor representing Wanikade Ward, Hon. Martha Achadu, was among those in attendance. While addressing constituents, she acknowledged the grievances of members who lamented being sidelined in party affairs but assured them that efforts were ongoing to reposition the ward.

Hon. Achadu further encouraged party members to remain steadfast in their support for the APC, stressing that development talks were underway and would soon yield tangible results in the community.

The meeting also featured the admission of new members into the party, who were formally welcomed by the councillor and other stakeholders present. Party loyalists reaffirmed their support for Hon. Achadu, promising to work with her and other leaders to consolidate the ward’s influence within the ruling party.

Participants also pledged their commitment to the APC-led administration, from the local government level up to the presidency, vowing to remain loyal to the party’s ideals and progress.
