BENIN (CONVERSEER) – Journalists in Edo State have gifted a bicycle to a shoe mender who usually works on their shoes.
The journalists, under the umbrella of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), handed over the purchased bicycle to Adamu, the shoe mender, at the Press Centre in Benin on Friday.
Adamu has been mending shoes at the NUJ Press Centre in Benin City for the past 40 years.

His bicycle was stolen last week and the journalists decided to purchase a new one for him to aid in his movements.
“Adam’s bicycle was stolen last week and we decided to put a smile on his face. A cash support was also added,” one of the journalists said.
