JOS (CONVERSEER) – Suspected bandits have killed a herdsman alongside his 36 cows in Ndinn village, Fan District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The incident happened on Monday, 6th October 2025.

According to Zagazola Makama, the bandits ambushed the herder, identified as Abubakar Alhaji Woda, while he was grazing his cattle, and shot him dead before opening fire on his herd, killing 36 cows on the spot.

Security operatives who visited the scene promised to fish out the culprits.

FUYODA Riyom chapter coordinator, Muhammad Saidu, prayed for the repose of the victim, saying, “May Almighty Allah grant Abubakar Alhaji Woda Jannatul Firdaus, forgive his shortcomings, and comfort his family with patience and strength during this difficult time.”

Converseer reports this is coming amidst rising insecurity in the Northern part of Nigeria.
