E-World FC Wins 2026 President Federation Cup

E-World Football Club of Calabar has won the 2026 State President Federation Cup tournament.

E-World FC defeated Mojoda FC, also of Calabar by two goals to one, at the main bowl of the U.J. Esuene Stadium Calabar in the final of the State 2026 President Federation Cup, on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Ubong John opened the scoring for E-World FC in the 11th minute of the first half but Mojoda FC equalised through Isaiah Alfred in the 24th minute.

Patrick Kayang scored the winning goal for E-world FC through a spotkick in the 64th minute of the soccer thriller.

Speaking after the match, the special guest of Honour, Honourable Chief Emmanuel Ironbar, Chief of Staff to Governor Bassey Otu, expressed delight with the sterling performances exhibited by the finalists.

The Chief of Staff, represented by his Special Adviser on Youth Orientation, Chief Bartholomew Ogbeche, states that the main aim of the tournament is to develop grassroots football, assuring that both teams will excel in the forthcoming National Presidential Federation Cup.

He commended the State Governor, Senator Otu, for restoring the state’s lost glory in sports.

The Chief Coach of E-World FC, Olatunbosun Ahmed, revealed that the success of winning this year’s State President Federation Cup was attributed to hard work, motivation and team spirit.

He assured that the club will excel in this year’s National Presidents’ Federation Cup tournament.

Highpoints of the event featured the presentation of the 2026 President Federation Cup to E-world FC players and officials while medals were presented to players and officials of the runners-up team, Mojoda FC.

Also, medals were presented to match officials.

Both finalists will represent the State in the National Preliminaries of the President’s Federation Cup slated to kick off next month.
