KADUNA (CONVERSEER) – Armed bandits have allegedly kidnapped 12 residents of Dutsengaiya community in Kasuwar Magani ward of Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, during a midnight attack.
According to The Sun, the attack occurred around 12:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, when the assailants stormed the community and whisked away the victims to an unknown destination.
Sources said the gunmen invaded the village in large numbers, moving from house to house before abducting the residents.
The identities of the abducted victims had not been immediately confirmed as of the time of filing this report.
Residents said the attack caused panic in the area, with many people fleeing their homes for safety.
Dutsengaiya is located in the Kasuwar Magani axis of Kajuru Local Government Area, an area that has experienced repeated incidents of communal crisis, banditry and kidnapping in recent years.
Neither the Kaduna State Police Command nor the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs had made any public statement on the development as of the time of filing this report.
