MANCHESTER (CONVERSEER) – Jeremy Doku delivered a sensational performance on Sunday as Manchester City cruised to a 3–0 victory over Liverpool in a Premier League clash that showcased the Belgian winger at his very best.
Doku tormented Liverpool’s defence from the outset, leaving right-back Conor Bradley struggling to contain his pace and skill. Every City attack seemed to run through the 22-year-old, whose relentless dribbling and movement repeatedly unbalanced Arne Slott’s side.
The winger’s trickery eventually earned City a penalty after he was fouled by Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. However, the visiting shot-stopper redeemed himself by saving Erling Haaland’s spot-kick to keep the score level. Haaland later made amends, rising highest to head home the opener after a pinpoint cross, putting Pep Guardiola’s men in control.
Liverpool briefly thought they had equalised when Virgil van Dijk found the net from a corner, but Andy Robertson was adjudged to be offside and interfering with play, cancelling out the effort.

City took advantage of the reprieve, doubling their lead moments before the interval through Nico Gonzalez, whose shot took a deflection that left Mamardashvili helpless.
Although Liverpool improved after the break and pressed forward in search of a comeback, Doku capped his outstanding display with a stunning curling strike that sealed City’s dominant win. His goal, bending beautifully into the far corner, underlined his man-of-the-match performance and left the visitors with no way back.
The result strengthens Manchester City’s position near the top of the Premier League table, while Liverpool’s hopes of closing the gap against runaway Arsenal took a significant blow.
