NEW YORK (CONVERSEER) – Apple has retained its position as the world’s most valuable brand for the 13th consecutive year, according to Interbrand’s 2025 Best Global Brands report released on Tuesday. Despite topping the chart with a brand value of US$470.9 billion, Apple’s value declined by 4% compared to last year.
The annual Interbrand ranking, though partly subjective, remains a widely followed indicator of brand perception and market influence. It evaluates brands based on factors such as financial performance, role in purchase decisions, and competitive strength.
Tech Giants Dominate the Rankings
Technology companies continue to dominate the top positions. Microsoft ranked second with a brand value of US$388.5 billion, marking a 10% year-on-year increase. Google followed with US$317.1 billion (up 9%), while Amazon took the fourth spot at US$219.9 billion (up 7%). Samsung rounded out the top five with US$90.5 billion, though its value slipped by 10% compared to last year.
A notable absence from the top 100 is ChatGPT, which was mentioned three times in Interbrand’s report but has not yet made the list.
NVIDIA Leads AI-Fuelled Growth
The 2025 rankings highlighted artificial intelligence (AI) as the most significant market-shaping force. Interbrand Global CEO Gonzalo Brujó said, “The rise of digital services and AI is creating winners at an unprecedented rate.”

NVIDIA emerged as the fastest-growing brand of the year, recording a 116% increase in brand value to US$43.2 billion. The AI chipmaker surged from outside the top 100 to 15th place, reflecting its central role in the global AI boom.
New Entrants Strengthen Tech Presence
This year’s list features 12 new entrants, further underlining the tech sector’s growing influence. Qualcomm entered at 39th with a brand value of US$20.1 billion, Dell ranked 51st at US$16.3 billion, and Shopify made its debut at 99th with US$6.9 billion.

Chinese technology companies also showed notable progress. Xiaomi’s brand value rose 18% to US$9.5 billion, earning it 81st place, while Huawei increased by 11% to US$7.6 billion, ranking 96th.
Interbrand’s 2025 report underscores both the resilience of established tech giants and the rapid rise of AI-driven brands, reflecting shifting consumer preferences and market dynamics in the digital era.
