Recalling previous fire disasters in Ikom, from market blazes caused by substandard electrical wiring to petrol tanker explosions, etc, Hon. Abang stressed that the pattern of repeated tragedies is alarming.
He called on stakeholders to embark on deliberate efforts to educate residents on fire prevention and safety practices, particularly in a fast-developing urban area like Ikom.
