The Cross River State Special Advisers Forum has congratulated one of its members, Engr. (Dr.) Jerome Egbe, on his elevation to the rank of Associate Professor of Civil Engineering by the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS).
The elevation, which was announced on Thursday by the university’s Senate, marks a significant milestone in Dr. Egbe’s academic and professional journey.
In a statement signed by its Secretary and Special Adviser to the Governor on Asset Management and Recovery, Barr. Gilbert Agbor, the Forum described the promotion as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Egbe’s outstanding contributions to academia and the engineering profession.
Dr. Egbe, who serves as Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Utilities in Cross River State, was elevated in recognition of his academic output, teaching excellence, and commitment to research and community service.
The Forum also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, for his prudent judgment in assembling a team of highly qualified and competent individuals to serve in his administration, noting that Dr. Egbe’s elevation further validates the quality of appointments under his leadership.
The Forum noted that the achievement reflects years of dedication, intellectual discipline, and professional excellence, adding that it brings pride not only to the Forum but also to the state government.
“This remarkable milestone is a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence and his impactful contributions to the field of Civil Engineering,” the statement said.
It further expressed confidence that Dr. Egbe’s new academic status would enhance his capacity to contribute meaningfully to public service, policy formulation, and infrastructural development in the state.
