The Chairman of the Cross River State Diaspora Commission, Otuekong Chief Otu Okor, has joined the ranks of distinguished professionals inducted as Doctoral Fellows of the Institute of Management and Advanced Leadership Excellence.

The induction ceremony in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, attracted dignitaries nationwide, with Okor describing the honour as a humbling recognition that reinforces his commitment to leadership excellence and service.

He said, “My heartfelt gratitude goes to the Institute of Management and Advanced Leadership Excellence for this honour. I am truly humbled to be inducted as a Doctoral Fellow,” Okor said during his remarks at the ceremony.

According to him, the recognition reflects the impact of vision, dedication, and the collective support he has received from family members, Cross Riverians living abroad, and citizens of the state. He noted that their encouragement has been instrumental in his journey in public service and leadership.

“This recognition is a testament to the power of hard work, vision, and the incredible support of my family, Cross Riverians in the diaspora, and the good people of Cross River State,” he added.

The CRIDCOM chairman dedicated the honour to the Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Edet Otu, whom he described as a visionary and inspiring leader.

Okor said he remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote leadership excellence and development in line with the governor’s vision for the state.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Registrar of the institute, Abubakar Sadeeq Yusuf, said the organisation remains focused on grooming leaders capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving global environment.

He explained that through professional training programmes, research engagement, and international collaborations, the institute aims to create a platform where knowledge and practical leadership skills converge, urging inductees to uphold the values of character, competence, and ethical leadership.
