Awade Friday Released From Police Custody

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Bassey Otu on New Media Advocacy, Awade Friday a.k.a Last Prophet a.k.a Otwetwe, has been released from police custody.

Converseer learned that Awade who was arrested and detained on Thursday was released on Friday.

According to the Cross River State Police Command, Awade was detained to help “with an ongoing investigation in relation to the sudden and unnatural death of Mr Abel.”

Speaking shortly after his release on Friday evening, Awade expressed gratitude to those who stood by him during his detention at the State CID.

“I sincerely want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who called, checked up on me, and stood by me during my time in Police custody since yesterday evening.

“Your concern, messages, prayers, and efforts to reach me meant more than words can fully explain. In moments like that, knowing that people genuinely care makes a great difference and gives strength.

“I truly appreciate every single person who took out time to check on my wellbeing. I do not take your kindness for granted.

“Thank you all, and God bless you abundantly.

“I will continually remain committed to doing good in my little capacity, carry people along and give them opportunity where necessary,” Awade posted on his official Facebook page on Friday.
