On Monday April 20, 2026, Dr M.C. Agim, now former Dean of Students’ Affairs, formally handed over the mantle of leadership to Dr Ignatius Ingwu who was recently appointed by the Provost, Dr Richard Ugbaha Utubaku as the new Dean of the Students’ Affairs Unit of the Federal College of Education, FCE Obudu. The ceremony took place at the Dean’s Office at exactly 12 noon.
In his remarks, the outgoing Dean, Dr M.C. Agim, warmly welcomed all dignitaries, staff, and students present. He delivered his address, reflecting on his tenure and the experiences gathered while serving the College Community. Dr Agim thereafter formally presented his handover notes, outlining key achievements, ongoing projects, and important administrative insights for continuity.
In his response, the incoming Dean of Students Affairs, Dr Ignatius Ingwu, expressed deep appreciation to Dr Agim for his dedication and contributions to the growth of the unit. He conveyed his gratitude to the management, staff, and students for their support and confidence, while pledging to build on the solid foundation laid by his predecessor.
The ceremony was graced by notable personalities including the Deputy Provost (Academics), Dr Ezekiel U. Oji, the Director of Academic Programs, and the Chairman of COASSU. Comrade Paul Ipuole Ogar; the Deputy Registrar, Servicom/Legal Unit; Dr John Ogabor, Deputy Registrar Student’ Affairs, Mr Peter Agogo and Deputy Director, Public Relations Unit; and Mr Onwuoku Emmanuel.
Also in attendance were other staff members and students of the institution.
The event marked yet another milestone in the College’s commitment to continuity, effective leadership, and institutional development.
