The commissioning ceremony, held on Monday at the college premises, was led by the National President of SSUCOEN, Chief Danladi Ali Msheliza. The event attracted union members, staff of the institution, and guests who gathered to witness the unveiling of the new administrative edifice.
In his remarks, Comrade Msheliza commended the leadership and members of the Obudu chapter for their commitment and unity, which made the project a reality. He described the secretariat as a symbol of progress and organisational strength, urging members to continue fostering cooperation for the advancement of the union.
The project was executed under the leadership of the immediate past Executive Committee (EXCO), headed by Obojor Ogar Oyigoja. The administration was praised for its foresight and dedication to improving the working environment and institutional structure of the union.
Speaking at the event, representatives of the chapter expressed appreciation to the EXCO for delivering what many described as a long-awaited project. They noted that the new secretariat would serve as a hub for union activities, meetings, and administrative functions.
The commissioning of the secretariat is expected to enhance the operational efficiency of SSUCOEN at Federal College of Education Obudu and strengthen the union’s role in advocating for the welfare of its members.
