LAGOS (CONVERSEER) – Social media has been agog after Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, alleged domestic violence in marriage to her billionaire Senator husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

The actress tearfully alleged domestic violence in a viral video outside Senator Ned Nwoko’s residence in Delta State, stating she could no longer endure the abuse as she packed her belongings and left with their son.
Her brother, Sammy West, accused Nwoko of beating her and sending assailants to attack them during the escape.
Nwoko’s aide dismissed the incident’s severity, while journalist Kemi Olunloyo claimed Daniels struggled with substance abuse and damaged his car, though neither party has publicly confirmed these details.
How It Started
Regina Daniels and Senator Ned Nwoko got married in 2019 in a flamboyant ceremony that trended on social media for months. Currently, they have two children.
Her husband is 64 years old while she is 25.
In 2024, Regina disclosed in a live Instagram session that she met Nwoko when she was out with one of her ex-boyfriends. “My boyfriend and I went sightseeing when I visited him,” she said.
She laughed and added, “The lesson here is that your boyfriend shouldn’t prevent you from meeting your husband. I was initially irritated, but then I met a cute man.”

Before meeting her current spouse, Regina remembers having “about 20 boyfriends.”
“People thought my mom forced me, but actually, my whole family was against it,” she explained, laughing at the accusations that she had no say in the marriage.
Actually, Regina’s mother was first against her daughter getting married to the much older politician.
Nwoko and Regina were married in May 2019 in Aniocha Local Government Area, Delta State, despite the early opposition. The about 38-year age difference in the marriage attracted a lot of public attention, particularly as Nwoko had already married five wives before he married Regina.
Nwoko, however, gave explicit justification for his choice, stating, “I wanted a wife from my place.” Regina was the ideal candidate and met all the requirements.
How It’s Going
At the weekend, a trending video surfaced online showing Regina crying and cursing on the road regrets outside of Nwoko’s house. According to her, “In Ned Nwoko’s house I am nothing, but in my own house I am a queen…Not again, I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Kemi Olunloyo alleged in one of her usual social media posts that: “I just spoke to Ned Nwoko, Regina Daniels takes drugs and her health is Compromised, she abuses substance to the point she doesn’t know What she is doing again, Ned told me Gina woke up one morning and was filming him while he was urinating he felt she was high on substance, It’s worse than you thought. Ned told me he wasn’t at home on Friday when Gina came with Sammy and made the viral video where she got physical with multiple staff and destroyed multiple cars. Ned says Regina needs to go to the hospital and get help. He is willing to stand by her side.”
Reactions And Responses
Regina’s brother, Sammy West, has come out, threatening Sen. Nwoko. According to him, “Senator Ned Nwoko you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you run comot send thugs! I swear I for burst all your jaw!”

Responding to West, an X (Twitter) user, @Irunnia_, said, “Burst the jaw of a senator in Nigeria? You go cry pass your sister. No worry.”
Another user, @MrMekzy_ while reacting to Regina’s brother West, said, “You wan burst Ned Nwoko eyes?? You go suffer pass Job for bible.”
In a video as usual, popular content creator, VeryDarkMan, said, “I’ll rather cry in a Lamborghini don dey cry out for help ooo.”
Some Nigerians are blaming Regina’s mother, Hon. Rita Daniels. “Her mom is a terrible person btw,” @sharon_sjc said on X.
@ihuomaadi said: “The crazy thing about this Regina Daniels story is she was already a pretty girl, with a good career and fame. She didn’t need to be married to a grand pa to have access to the good life.”
Meanwhile, @itsSh0la wrote: “I don’t pity young women like Regina Daniels a bit. She’s not a child, she knows what she’s doing. Went for the fast life, knew what she was entering into, enjoyed it alone while it lasted, she should sort herself out by herself.”
Some Nigerians said she should cry in her Lamborghini alone, recalling her previous post on Instagram.
Sen. Nwoko is yet to respond to the allegations at the time of this report.
Recall that Nwoko was named the Best Performing Senator of the Year at the Democracy Heroes Award Africa 2025.
