CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The Cross River State Representative on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Rt. Hon. Chief Orok Otu Duke, PhD, has joined millions of well-wishers to celebrate the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, describing him as a leader who has transformed the state through visionary governance.
In a goodwill message issued on Saturday, Duke praised Governor Otu’s leadership for uplifting the lives of Cross Riverians through infrastructural growth, economic stability, healthcare delivery, education, employment generation, security, and tourism development.
“Sixty-six years ago, God brought in a child not only destined to lead the people of Cross River State but to wipe their tears and put a smile on their faces,” Duke said, adding that Governor Otu’s emergence came at the right time when the people yearned for a leader who listens, acts, and leads with compassion.
He noted that in the last two years, the Governor has repositioned the state for greatness, ensuring that the benefits of governance reach citizens in both rural and urban areas, from the hills of Obanliku to the creeks of Bakassi.
