Wike sacks IRS acting chairman

ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – Barr. Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has sacked Michael Ango, the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS).

Converseer reports that Ango’s sack was disclosed in a statement by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Minister on Public Communication and Social Media, on Friday.

The statement directed the most senior official of the FCT-IRS to take over the running of the revenue agency with immediate effect.

Reasons for his sack were not made known at the time of filing this report.
