WASHINGTON (CONVERSEER) – United States President Donald Trump has announced plans to hit the UK, Denmark and other European countries with a 10% tariff on “all or any goods” exported to the US from 1st February.
In a post on Truth Social, the US president said these will remain in place until a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.
Trump framed this move as leverage to pressure Denmark and other NATO allies to agree to sell the Arctic territory of Greenland to the U.S. — a deeply controversial proposal.

Leaders in Europe have condemned the threats. Denmark and Greenland insist the territory will not be sold, emphasising self-determination.
