Tinubu approves additional road projects

ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – President Bola Tinubu, has approved the immediate reconstruction of some federal roads in Niger State. They are, Mokwa–Bida Road of 120kms, the 63kms Mokwa–Makeri Road and the Bida–Lanbata Road of 123.5kms.

The three projects totalling 306.5 kilometres will be reconstructed using reinforced concrete pavement to ensure durability and long-term value.

A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Works on Media, Francis Nwaeze indicates that President Tinubu has also approved the extension of the Bodo–Bonny Road to connect with the East–West Road. The project, the statement says, will be executed on a dual-carriageway capacity, constructed with concrete pavement, and equipped with solar-powered street lighting, and will be delivered through a competitive bidding process.

The statement further conveyed the appreciation of the Minister of Works, David Umahi who acknowledes effort by the President in rebuilding such road projects that fall within critical national economic corridors that will significantly enhance connectivity, trade, and development.
