ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of three (3) new Heads of Agencies.
This was disclosed by a statement by Segun Imohiosen, Director, Information & Public Relations Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, on Tuesday, 30th September 2025.
They are as follows:
1. Bello Bawa Bwari (Niger State) as new Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency, for an initial term of four (4) years, effective from 18th September 2025, in accordance with the provisions of Section 5 of the National Biosafety Management Agency, 2015.
2. Hon. Barr. Aminu Junaidu (Zamfara State) as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Investment and Security Tribunal for a five-year term, effective 18th September 2025.
3. Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan as Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, for an initial four-year term, effective from 2nd September 2025.
The statement by Imohiosen indicates that the appointments underscore President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening key sectors and institutions in Nigeria.
It adds, “The President tasks the appointees to contribute their expertise in the development of the agencies for the good of the nation.”
