SOWETO (CONVERSEER) – Soweto-based designer Hlumelo Nyaluza, an Eastern Cape-born visionary, has unveiled his latest creation: the HN Lux Carrier Bag, a R1,499 Woolworths-inspired luxury bag aimed at empowering GBV survivors and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Nyaluza, who previously made waves with a global luxury bag collection featured in New York, London, Miami, Mexico, and Australia, revealed that a small website error cost him millions over the past eight months. Undeterred, he is making a comeback with a new bag that channels a portion of profits toward social impact initiatives.

The HN Lux Carrier Bag is crafted from 100% natural artist’s canvas, features leather handles, satin sides, and a hand screen-printed African-inspired HN monogram. Available in grey & black and cream & brown, the spacious design blends style with practicality.

The first beneficiary is Sandiswa, a single mother of three and GBV survivor from Snake Park, Soweto, who received a potato cutting machine and a gas double deep fryer to start her kota business. She also modeled the new bags, embodying Nyaluza’s message of Ubuntu – giving even at one’s lowest.

The bags are available via WhatsApp at 067 015 8728 or on his new e-commerce site: hnluxury.africa.
