ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – On Thursday, security operatives alongside armoured military vehicles were heavily deployed around the premises of the INEC office in Abuja, a development that drew public attention.
At the same time, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid a visit to Jos, Plateau State, but did not proceed into the city, as he remained at the airport.
Some of the families affected by the recent incident were brought there to meet with him.
After landing, the President first expressed concern over the lack of electricity at the venue, noting that he had only a short time to spare — about 10 minutes because of another important trip ahead of him.

He was later seen departing Jos for Lagos.
However, Tinubu assured the affected families that, God willing, such an incident would never happen again in the future.
He also announced plans to install 5,000 security cameras in Plateau State as part of efforts to address the security challenges in the state.
