CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The Special Adviser on the Department of Projects/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPPME) in Cross River State, Raphael Adoga Morphy, has felicitated the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, on his 66th birthday, describing him as “Mr Infrastructure” for his outstanding contributions to the state’s infrastructural transformation.
In a goodwill message on Saturday, Morphy, on behalf of the entire project monitoring department, joined millions of Cross Riverians in celebrating the Governor’s leadership and commitment to development.
He commended Governor Otu’s administration for its unwavering dedication to building critical infrastructure across the state, noting that the projects reflect a clear vision for repositioning Cross River for greatness.

“Your unwavering commitment to transforming our State’s infrastructure has been nothing short of remarkable. From roads to bridges, and from buildings to recreational facilities, your administration has worked tirelessly to reposition Cross River State for greatness,” Morphy stated.

He highlighted the Governor’s efforts in redefining the aesthetics of Calabar, the state capital, describing it as a demonstration of his vision to make it Nigeria’s premier tourism destination. According to him, the world-class infrastructure being implemented is a testament to Governor Otu’s strategic leadership and long-term development agenda.
As the Governor celebrates his 66th birthday, Morphy expressed profound gratitude for his leadership and prayed for good health, strength, and wisdom to enable him to continue serving the state.
Governor Otu, born on 18 October 1959, has been widely praised for his developmental policies, particularly in infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, and human capital development.
