PORT HARCOURT (CONVERSEER) – Electoral process for the by-elections into Ahoada East State Constituency 2 and Khana State Constituency 2, has commenced in Rivers State.
The by-election in Ahoada East State Constituency became necessary, following the resignation of former lawmaker, Hon. Edison Ehie, from the State House of Assembly to serve as the then Chief of Staff to Governor Siminalayi Fubara in 2024.
In Khana State Constituency 2, the vacuum was created by the death of former assembly member, Hon. Dibabari Loolo, in 2024.
According to NTA, the by-election is progressing peacefully across the wards, as security operatives are on the ground to maintain law and order.
