PORT HARCOURT (CONVERSEER) – The Rivers State House of Assembly has halted impeachment proceedings against the Rivers State Governor, Siminialayi Fubara, and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Ordu.

Speaker Martin Amaewhule informed the house that the withdrawal of the impeachment proceedings follows the intervention of President Bola Tinubu.

He also informed the House that all court cases filed by the governor, his deputy and the Rivers State House of Assembly have been withdrawn.
