LONDON (CONVERSEER) – Former West Ham United player Declan Rice has hammered Arsenal to the top of the Premier League following their win at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The England International opened the scoring against his former side in the 38th minute, after the Gunners missed glorious chances earlier on, with a similar one falling to Eberechi Eze, who scooped his effort into the stands.

The second half looked more like the first, with Arsenal making all the efforts on goal.

The Gunners added a second through Bukayo Saka, who converted from the spot in the 67th minute after Malick Diouf was adjudged to have fouled Leandro Trossard in the West Ham penalty area.

The game ended 2-0 in favour of Arsenal, who climbed to the top of the log on 16 points, with Liverpool having a game in hand against Chelsea later on.

There was also a scare for Arsenal as Martin Odegaard was replaced by Martin Zubimendi in the 30th minute following his clash of knees with Crysencio Summerville earlier on.

The Gunner may top the table into the international break if Liverpool fail to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
