Regina Daniels: I only use Molly, I don't do hard drugs - Explainer

“I was never on hard drugs. I only used Molly for reasons I won’t disclose. I will definitely sue at the appropriate time,” — Regina Daniels after taking a drug test to address substance abuse allegations.

LAGOS (CONVERSEER) – Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, is trending because the actress has done a drug test in the United States of America, three months after her husband, Ned Nwoko, called her a drug addict.

Regina said that the only drug she was taking was Molly (ecstasy). And it was for ‘peculiar’ reasons. Adding that, she will be suing soon.

But drug experts are arguing that she’s guilty, which is why she waited up to three months to go for a test, after detoxing.

The mother of two said she did the test for her kids, her brand and everyone who loves, respects and supports her. That she was never a drug addict.

Actually, it takes 2-7 days for marijuana to leave the blood, and 30 days to leave the urine for heavy users. Otherwise, 3 days for single use, 7-21 days for moderate use. But it could stay in the hair for up to 90 days for addicts.

For Molly, it exists in the blood after 2 days. 1-4 days from Urine. 1-2 days from Saliva. But it could stay up to 90 days in the hair.

Ideally, blood tests usually detect recent use. A urine test detects past use depending on frequency. Hair tests show long-term use, but not exact timing.

So if she was truly an addict as claimed by her husband, then, the tests could have indicated. Also, a drug addict can’t easily quit addiction in two months, especially in her case, where Ned said, she’s now living with her drug suppliers.

Although, it’s not reported which sample was used for the test. If it were a saliva test, then she’s bound to be 100% clean regardless of her lifestyle.

Regina Daniels said that when the time is right, she will appropriately sue. But she wants to make sure her kids grow up to see that she was never a drug addict.

Following the couple’s fallout. In October, Ned Nwoko credited Regina’s actions to drug and alcohol addictions. That’s why he allegedly attempted to slap it off her.

Gossip blogger Cute Jules later alleged that Regina uses them because she can’t copulate with Ned without drugs, and Ned sponsors it because he likes how sexually wild she gets under the influence. Gina later confirmed this in early November 2025.

So, perhaps the drug she uses for sexual enhancement is MDMA (Molly). Which Regina has now suggested she took for peculiar reasons, but she wishes not to speak of.

  • Date of accusation: October 19, 2025
  • Date of test: January 5th, 2025, Alere Toxicology Services, Louisiana, USA
  • Result: Negative

So, Nigerians are wondering whether Molly is a drug or a candy.

Well, Molly is a synthetic type of MDMA 3,4-Methylenedioxy-Methamphetamine.

Interestingly, Molly and Ecstasy are two different drugs. Molly is sold as crystals or powder. Ecstasy is sold as tablets in fun shapes.

It’s a drug that evokes happiness. It releases three brain chemicals; Serotonin, Dopamine and Norepinephrine. Helping regulate mood, emotions, bonding and perhaps, intense happiness. Which kicks in after 20-30 minutes of consumption.

Ideally, Molly is not supposed to be addictive. It’s an illegal product made in illegal labs using industrial-grade chemicals. But dealers often add cocaine, fentanyl and other opioids to the mixture. As pure MDMA, it is expensive to make. This is what gets people addicted.

Pure Molly is usually in raw powder or crystal form. It is a popular pill at parties worldwide and gained popularity in the 80s in Europe.

In fact, it’s now so popular that it’s taken like a TomTom, and people have grown resistant to it that they have to take multiple pieces. Perhaps that’s why Regina said it so casually. It’s now socially seen as weed (loud).

In most rehabs, people who are admitted with Molly/Ecstasy addiction all had traces of cocaine and fentanyl.

What is fentanyl? Let’s just say it is a drug about 50x stronger than Heroin. And it is currently the leading cause of OD deaths worldwide.

In essence, Regina Daniels takes drugs. But in her test result. She was negative for Molly. Molly leaves the blood after 2 days. 1-4 days from Urine. 1-2 days from Saliva. But it could stay up to 90 days in the hair.

Molly is dangerous. It increases heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature, can cause panic, anxiety, and depression, and with repeated use may lead to dependency, withdrawal symptoms, addiction, and long-term mental health problems.
