CHICAGO (CONVERSEER) – Some pupils of Orville Bright Elementary were caught on camera beating up a fellow student alongside her mother while on their way home after school closure.

The victim, Carshawnda Hatter, a 33-year-old Chicago mom, says she and her kids were attacked by a group of students while walking home from Orville Bright Elementary on the South Side.

According to Collin Rugg, Chicago pastor Corey Brooks is demanding action against the elementary-aged mob.

The victim (young boy) was seen trying to hold on tight to his mom as the children hit both of them.

During an interview with Fox News, Brooks said parents are not being held accountable for their children’s actions.

“Unfortunately, this is the cycle that we continue to see in the city of Chicago, where violence is so rampant and parents aren’t being held accountable,” he said.

“That’s the reason why I am walking across America, trying to get people to wake up in our urban areas so they can understand the magnitude of the issues that we’re faced with every single day.”

“I think we’ve gone away from [respect], and we have to get back to those days,” said Chicago Police 7th District Councilman Joseph Williams.

According to the Chicago PD, the woman and her son were transported to the hospital. They were in “serious condition” at the time of the statement.

“No one is in custody at this time. Area Two detectives are investigating,” they said.
