CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu has approved the disbursement of ₦800 million to young people as start-up capital for their agri-business ventures.
The grant, Converseer reports, is for the ex-Bakassi Defence Force and farmers’ empowerment.
According to Andrea Ekeng Inyang, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, on Tuesday, “This initiative is a fulfilment of his campaign promise to empower entrepreneurs by providing grants that will reduce dependence on political appointments and open sustainable pathways for wealth creation.
He said the Governor is about to make 400 young people in Cross River State millionaires.
Each of the beneficiaries is entitled to N2 million.
