CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The General Hospital located at Mary Slessor Avenue in Calabar, Cross River State, has allegedly rejected accident victims brought in by the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
Converseer learned that the ugly incident that has left many questioning happened on Thursday night.

According to a reliable source, Mr Tom Alims, the hospital, owned by the Cross River State Government, said it does not have the capacity to manage some of the victims.
However, the management asked the FRSC officials to take the victims to the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital at Murtala Mohammed Highway but they refused.

“There’s a sad development ongoing at General Hospital, Calabar that calls for urgent intervention.
“Federal Road Safety Corps vans brought in some accident victims.
“The hospital has said they don’t have the capacity to manage some of the victims at the moment and should be taken to Navy Reference Hospital, but sadly the Hospital Ambulance is not being released to carry them there and the Road Safety Van has refused to carry them, insisting the Hospital should manage them or use their Ambulance to move them out.
“The gate of the Hospital has been locked against the FRSC Van not to go out,” Alims stated in a Facebook post.
