DAMATURU (CONVERSEER) – Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has distributed 17 new Honda cars to the newly elected APC chapter chairmen of 17 Local government Areas of the state.
The Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, who presented the vehicles, informed the beneficiaries that the gesture is aimed at making their activities easier and rallying them around the policies and programmes of the ruling party in their various local governments.
While urging them to put the vehicles to good use, he also urged them to eschew bitterness and work towards uniting supporters and to watchout for political betrayers.
He stressed that the local government party chairmen must abide by the principles and guidelines of the APC and liaise with the state’s critical stakeholders in all their activities.
The state APC chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka, thanked the stakeholders for their support and understanding during congresses.
He congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to reciprocate the gesture by dedicating themselves to delivering APC at their various local governments.
The state party chairman further warned that the vehicles are not for sale and should be strictly used for party activities.
