CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – Governor Bassey Otu has approved the appointment of seven persons into the Cross River State Local Government Service Commission.
According to a statement with reference number: Our Ref: SSG/GSA/102/Vol.VI/341, issued by Prof. A. Owan Enoh, Secretary to the Government of the State (SSG), on Monday, one Chairman and six Commissioners were appointed.
They are:
1. Barr. Eyo Nsa Ekpo – Chairman
2. Dr Ekeng Effong Edet – Commissioner I
3. Dr Emmanuel Itakui Ntuyan – Commissioner Il
4. Dr Godwin Ondale Akpor – Commissioner III
5. Hon. Obia Lawrence Bassey – Commissioner IV
6. Hon. Rita Ayim – Commissioner V
7. Hon. John Olom Otu – Commissioner VI
“The Governor’s action stems from his firm desire to ensure the viability of the local government system, as well as his commitment to the ethos of constitutional provisions.
“The appointments take immediate effect,” the statement added.
