KATSINA (CONVERSEER) – The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested all Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) personnel in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina for allegedly killing the father of a bandit leader.

According to Zagazola Makama, 60-year-old Alhaji Ibrahim Nagode, the father of a known bandit leader, Haruna Ibrahim, also called ‘Fada’, was fatally shot by that CJTF personnel in Malumfashi.

Nagode is a resident of Na’alma village, still in Katsina.

According to the report, the shooting occurred as Fada was returning to his village, following a recently brokered peace accord between bandits and the communities in Malumfashi.

The report by Zagazola quoted security sources as saying the area had been on high alert after intelligence suggested that suspected armed bandits were regrouping in the locality.
