CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The Cross River State Government, through the Department of Religious Affairs, has announced a change in the date for the 7th Edition of the Solemn Assembly, themed “Great Is His Faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:23).

According to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Apostle Frank Umo, the Solemn Assembly, earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, February 28, 2026, will now take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

Pastor Umo explained that the adjustment became necessary to enable the state conclude its party congress without conflicting engagements.

He, however, assured the public that the time and venue for the spiritual gathering remain unchanged. He also disclosed that free buses will be positioned at strategic locations across the state to convey worshippers to and from the venue.

He calls on residents and the Christian faithful to take note of the new date and participate fully in the Solemn Assembly as the state gathers in thanksgiving and prayer under the theme, “Great Is His Faithfulness.”
