Cross River redeploys 8 permanent secretaries Governor Bassey Otu

CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The Government of Cross River State has redeployed eight permanent secretaries to different Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Converseer gathered that he redeployment was approved by Governor Bassey Otu on Thursday, 2nd October 2025.

Ogon-Onah Rosemary Idagu of the Ministry of Environment was redeployed to the House of Assembly Service Commission.

Ukpala Peter Ashishie remains in the Budget Office while overseeing the Ministry of Sports Development.

Egban Emmanuel Okon of PSO, HOS, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Information.

Carol Asikpo Edet remains in the Ministry of Local Government Affairs while overseeing the Civil Service Commission (wf 17.10.25).

Odu-Orji Glory Aki of the Ministry of Commerce has been redeployed to the Public Service Office (HOS) and will be overseeing the Local Government Service Commission.

Nyiam Philomena Nyire of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Community Development has now been redeployed to the Ministry of Commerce.

Offiong Ani Offiong of the Ministry of Information was redeployed to the Ministry of Education.

Mary-Theresa Agede Ebe of the Ministry of Livestock was redeployed to the Service Welfare Office (HOS) and will be overseeing the Ministry of Minerals.
