CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The Cross River State Indigenous Gospel Ministers (CRSIGM) Forum has announced plans to host the 3rd State Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service, a spiritually significant gathering aimed at returning collective gratitude to God for His faithfulness to the state and its people.

Scheduled to hold on Saturday, 20 December 2025, at 11:00am, the Thanksgiving service will take place at No. 32c, Odukpani Road, Diamond Hill, behind The Apostolic Church, Calabar.

With the theme “The Lord Has Done Great Things For Us” drawn from Psalm 126:3, the event is expected to bring together gospel ministers, Christian faithful, government officials and worshippers from across denominations in an atmosphere of praise, unity and reflection.

The State Chairman of CRSIGM, Evangelist Stephen E. Atukanre, will serve as Host of the thanksgiving service, which organisers describe as a solemn yet celebratory moment to acknowledge divine intervention in the peace, stability and progress witnessed in Cross River State.

Prominent among the dignitaries expected at the event are His Excellency, Apostle Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State; His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, Deputy Governor of the state, and Her Excellency, Bishop Dr Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, Wife of the Governor and key political leaders of the State are expected to grace the organisation.

According to the CRSIGM leadership, the Thanksgiving service transcends denominational boundaries and reflects a shared commitment by indigenous gospel ministers to promote unity, spiritual growth and moral renewal within the state.

“The essence of this gathering is to collectively acknowledge God’s goodness and reaffirm our dependence on Him as a people,” the organisers noted, adding that the forum remains committed to supporting governance through prayer, counsel and spiritual guidance.

The CRSIGM Thanksgiving Service has, over the years, grown into a notable spiritual event on the state’s religious calendar, drawing participation from church leaders, gospel artistes and Christian organisations across Cross River State.

Members of the public, Christian bodies and worshippers are invited to attend and participate in what promises to be a powerful service of thanksgiving, worship and intercession for the continued peace and prosperity of the state.
