BEIJING (CONVERSEER) – Changan Automobile announced via its official WeChat account that it and Midea Group held a signing ceremony for a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement at Midea Group’s headquarters in Foshan, Guangdong. The two companies announced that they will work together to create a smart lifestyle integrating “people, cars, and homes.”
It is reported that the new Q05 from Changan Qiyuan will have a “car-to-home” function. Users can use voice commands to activate “Comfortable Home Mode”, “Worry-free Departure Mode” and “Pet Care Mode” while travelling, and remotely control home appliances such as air conditioners, dehumidifiers, robot vacuums, curtains, lights, and air purifiers, realising integrated management from environmental presets before returning home to safety and energy saving after leaving home.
This feature will first be available on Changan Qiyuan models and will be pushed to users via OTA updates later.
In addition, the two parties are accelerating joint development at the “home-controlled vehicle” level, continuously optimising the experience around high-frequency usage scenarios such as remote vehicle standby, so that users can prepare for their trips in advance from home.
