ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for its ongoing recruitment exercise will soon hold across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This was contained in a public notice issued on Monday, 21st October 2025, by the Secretary to the Board, Major General A.M. Jibril (Rtd.), who expressed gratitude to applicants and the public for their patience throughout the recruitment process.
According to the statement, all candidates who earlier applied for various positions into any of the four paramilitary agencies under the Board — the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) — are expected to visit the Board’s official recruitment portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, next week.
Successful applicants will be able to confirm their eligibility for the CBT, as well as the designated centres and time for the examination.
CDCFIB warned applicants to rely solely on the official recruitment portal and avoid unofficial websites or agents claiming to represent the Board. It emphasised that the entire recruitment process is transparent, merit-based, and free of charge.
“The Board remains firmly committed to a transparent, seamless and completely free recruitment process at no financial cost to applicants,” the notice stated.

Applicants were further reminded not to make any form of payment or disclose personal banking details, as the Board does not authorise financial transactions or intermediaries in its recruitment exercise.
“Candidates are advised to beware of fraudsters who may attempt to exploit unsuspecting job seekers through false claims or financial demands. At no point will any applicant be asked to pay a fee or make any form of financial contribution to advance in the recruitment,” Jibril cautioned.
He reiterated CDCFIB’s commitment to fairness, integrity, and accountability, urging applicants to report any suspicious activities or fraudulent demands to the nearest security agency.
The Board reaffirmed its mission to attract qualified candidates for Nigeria’s paramilitary services while ensuring the safety and confidence of all applicants.
