CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – Two missing children who were reported missing and found by the Nigeria Police in Calabar are just a step away from reuniting with their families.

This was disclosed in a statement by ASP Sunday Eitokpah, Police Public Relations Officer, Cross River State Police Command, on Thursday, 05 February 2026.

According to the statement, the children whose cases were circulated to the media on 26 and 28 January 2026, respectively, are currently in the custody of the Cross River State Social Welfare Home.

“Their respective parents have been identified and are presently filing and completing the necessary documentation for the formal release and reunification of the children in line with established child-protection procedures.

“The Command appreciates members of the public and media partners for their cooperation, vigilance, and responsible information sharing, which contributed significantly to locating the parents.

“This process underscores the Command’s commitment to the safety, welfare, and lawful handling of minors,” the statement added.
