“On behalf of the Olokpa Community in particular, and Beten in general, we’ll continue to rally around you. The journey you’ve started is going to be a continuous one. Wherever you go, we’ll follow you.

“Each time you come here, when you say anything, you do it. We are happy indeed because this project is going to stand the test of time and posterity will remember you. The project will serve as an attraction in the community,” Mr Sylvester Obri, a Community Leader in Bekwarra, stated.

The people lauded the Rep Member for all he has been doing across the three local government areas that make up the Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku (OBO) Federal Constituency, including youth empowerment.

“Everything in life lies in preparation. MP came to power very prepared, and when given the opportunity, he’s delivering on the mandate he promised us. It was never a mistake to elect MP because he was prepared and his hard work is showing clearly in all the projects he’s executing across the three LGAs in OBO.

“As we speak, there are so many youth empowerment initiatives on the ground. He has enjoyed my support before, and will enjoy it the second time again because he has never disappointed us,” Saviour Eneji, Youth Leader of Bekwarra, stated.

He said the people are grateful for what the Member of Parliament (MP) has done, adding, “I want to inform you that there are other areas that need similar projects. As you’re going back for your second turn, remember these areas.”

Like Oliver Twist, the people demanded water and electricity.

Addressing the people, Hon. Akpanke stated that he’s very grateful to have attracted two major projects to the community in two and a half years, promising to do more if given the needed opportunity.

“When I came to campaign, you requested a school building, and I have done that. You earlier requested solar lights, and I have also done that. You just requested water, by the grace of God, I’ll give it to you later,” Akpanke maintained.

The lawmaker, who is a first timer in the National Assembly, said he didn’t come for a campaign but to thank the people for giving him the opportunity to represent them.

He pleaded with the people to continue to support their leaders, especially President Bola Tinubu and Governor Otu. “I am only pleading that you pray and support us. During elections, you’re the ones who vote for us.

“Pray for our president for God’s wisdom to change Nigeria. Our governor is also doing very well, please pray for him so that the season of sweetness will continue. All our leaders, down to the local government chairmen and councillors, pray for us so that we’ll continue to bring the dividends of democracy,” Akpanke stated.
