CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – Sir Sen. Benedict Ayade has suffered more from the people he appointed under his watch as Governor of Cross River State.
Recently, I saw a negative post about Ayade that he paid sweepers in Cross River state three thousand Naira (N3,000) when he was in power as Governor and I immediately refuted it on his behalf and I didn’t see any appointee under his watch, place a disclaimer or if there is and I didn’t see.
The fact is, no sweeper was earning less than five thousand naira and some earned N10k and above. However, the money is too small for such a health and security risky job but that ‘long N5k epistle’ was being shared by those who Ayade removed from hunger, suffering and anguish into ‘Food on the Table’ mantra. Especially, one who was a definition of ‘Hungry go Kpai me now o’ and Ayade gave him a media appointment.
Today, he has a small chalet, beer parlour and Ayade still married for him o! He had the liver to share the post and discredited Ayade and called him different, unprintable names because he has now migrated to this new prey, the current government, as an appointee.
I could remember when Ayade’s administration was owing those sweepers, a couple of Activists and I stood for those people in 2023 and that was when I realised how much they were being paid.
The best you could have done was to keep quiet or admonish the person who wrote the Ecclesiastical epistle to retract his statement or correct the person.
The current administration, watch them and know that when you are out of office ehn, you are next in line to receive negativity too.
