GUSAU (CONVERSEER) – The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) said it carried out two precision air interdiction operations in Zamfara State, striking Turba Hill and Kachalla Dogo Sule’s camp in Tsafe Local Government Area as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt bandit activities in the North-West.
The Director of Public Relations and Information of NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said the operations followed intelligence gathered from multiple credible sources and were executed on Sunday to target enclaves linked to recent attacks in the region.
According to the statement, air assets focused on degrading the operational strength of armed groups and eliminating locations used as safe havens.
At Turba Hill, identified as a confirmed bandit hideout, the airstrikes hit a zinc-roofed structure assessed as central to the enclave’s operations.
Post-strike assessments confirmed that the structure was destroyed, while several bandits occupying the location were neutralised.

“The second mission hit Kachalla Dogo Sule’s Camp, a notorious IED manufacturing and operational hub linked to recent attacks along the Dan Sadau–Magami axis.
“Multiple active structures were engaged, triggering intense fires that destroyed the facilities and neutralised several bandits, crippling the group’s IED production and deployment capacity,” he said.
The Nigerian Air Force assessed that the destruction of the camp significantly weakened the group’s ability to manufacture and deploy improvised explosive devices, which had been used to carry out attacks across parts of Zamfara State.
He said the operations reaffirm the NAF’s commitment, in coordination with other components of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, to deny criminal elements freedom of action and support joint efforts to restore peace and security across the North-West and the nation.
