ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – The Center for Agropreneurship and Green Economy is set to host the Africa Food Heroes Awards tomorrow, November 20, 2024, at 4 PM at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre in Abuja.
The prestigious award ceremony will recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions of eminent personalities in the areas of agriculture and food security in Nigeria.
The awardees include several state governors who have made significant strides in promoting agriculture and food security in their respective states. The governors of Cross River State, Osun, Akwa Ibom, Jigawa, Bauchi, Nasarawa, Benue, Niger, and Ebonyi states will be honoured for their efforts.

Other notable awardees include the Minister of Agriculture, Senator Abubakar Kyari, Prof. John Kennedy Opara, Dr Michael Onuoha, and Alh. Aminu Goronyo and Amb. Florence Edwards, among others.
The Africa Food Heroes Awards aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices, recognise innovation, and encourage others to work towards improving food security in Nigeria and beyond.
