Calabar (Converseer) – The University of Calabar, UNICAL, has announced its best graduating students at the 38th Convocation Ceremony for 2026, celebrating outstanding academic excellence across faculties.
Offiong Bassey Edet from the Department of Business Education emerged as one of the top graduates with an impressive CGPA of 4.77. Also recognised was Okpodighi Eno-obong from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who finished with a remarkable CGPA of 4.75.
The achievements of both scholars highlight a culture of hard work and academic distinction at UNICAL, setting a strong example for current and future students.

Converseer reports that out of 10,820 students who graduated during the convocation, 52 earned first-class honours, 2,390 obtained second-class upper division, 5,819 graduated with second-class lower division, 666 with third class, and 246 with pass degrees, for undergraduate programmes.
