ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – The Nigerian Defence Headquarters says more than 122,000 insurgents (terrorists) have surrendered under Operation HADIN KAI, since the creation of Operation SAFE CORRIDOR in 2015.
The Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja who stated this in a statement, added that troops deployed in the operational theatres conducted a series of successful clearance operations, and rapid response missions across all theatre of operations.
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, maintained pressure on Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters, repelling attacks and targeting their supply chains.
Major General Onoja stress that the outcomes of the operations underscore the commitment of the Armed Forces to sustaining pressure on terrorist and criminal groups across the country.
