CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu, has approved the following appointments:
1. Mr Anthony Asuquo Okon as Permanent Secretary, Audit Service Commission.
2. Mr Bassey Abam Eko as Acting Auditor-General for Local Governments, pending confirmation by the State House of Assembly.
According to a statement signed by Orok Bassey Okon, Head of Service, on Thursday, “The appointments take effect immediately.”
Converseer reports that the appointment is coming a few hours after the Local Government pensioners threatened to embark on a strike over several entitlements which can be found HERE.
