The aircraft was originally from McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey, USA.

Converseer earlier reported that the Donald Trump-led US will be sending 200 troops to train the Nigerian military to combat Islamist terrorist groups, especially in the northeast.

Meanwhile, the US, last week confirmed the presence of a small military team in the country.

The announcement represents the first official acknowledgement of American forces on the ground following Washington’s Christmas Day air raids.

The US has reportedly applied pressure on Nigeria, alleging that authorities have failed to protect Christian communities from Islamist terrorists in the northwest.
