UGEP (CONVERSEER) – The Primary Health Centre (PHC) of Ijiman, Ugep, in Yakurr Local Government Area, has taken a significant step to safeguard the health of students in the community.
The team, led by Mrs Abam Edet Eno, recently visited Apostolic Secondary Grammar School, Ugep, to administer measles and rubella vaccines to students.
Speaking during the exercise, Mrs Eno emphasised the importance of vaccination in preventing the spread of these diseases.
“Measles and rubella can be very serious, especially for children and adolescents,” she said, adding, “We’re happy to be partnering with the school to ensure our students are protected.”
The vaccination drive is part of ongoing efforts by the PHC to promote health and wellness in the community.
