CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – The Nigeria Police Force has declared a 12-year-old girl, Miss Stella Asuquo, whose photograph is attached, missing.
According to a statement by ASP Sunday Eitokpah, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Cross River State Command, on Tuesday, Miss Asuquo, who resides with her guardian in Calabar, reportedly left the house on January 27, 2026, and never returned.
Efforts to trace her whereabouts yielded no fruit at the time of the release.
“Miss Stella Asuquo, a 12-year-old female, dark in complexion, resides with her guardian, Prince Anidot, at No. 1 Ndon Edet Street, Calabar South, Calabar, Cross River State. She hails from Okoyong Village, Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State and speaks Efik and English fluently.

“She reportedly left her guardian’s residence on 27th January, 2026, to an unknown destination and has not returned home nor been seen since then. All efforts made by her guardian to trace her whereabouts have so far proved abortive.
“The Command hereby appeals to members of the general public who may have useful information that could lead to the location of the missing child to report immediately to the nearest Police Station or contact the following numbers:

“Information will be treated with strict confidentiality,” the statement read.
