LAGOS (CONVERSEER) – Another paternity fraud has hit a family living their dream lives, until now, and everything built for years is on the verge of collapse.

A Nigerian man (name withheld) was about to move his wife and children abroad when he discovered that one of his children was not his biological child.

He contacted his lawyer for advice after conducting a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test.

Sharing the story on social media over the weekend, his lawyer, Paul Alobi Nyambi Esq., stated that he had advised the man to adopt the child.

However, the man opted for divorce when he discovered the biological father of the child was boasting about it around town.

“I’ve handled a Case where through DNA, we discovered that one of the children didn’t belong to my client.

“I advised my client to file for adoption of the child, as nobody was contesting over the paternity of the child, and my client had already bonded so well with the poor girl.

“While in the process, the real father of the child and long-time lover of the woman went somewhere and gossiped about it, and my client became aware. In fact, the woman informed him that my client was in the process of adopting the child.

“That was how we stopped the adoption and filed for dissolution of the marriage.

“It happened when my client was processing their papers to join him in America.

“I’ve seen things in legal practice oh, fearful things,” Nyambi wrote.
